At the 4th Annual NIBA/DePaul University Joint Symposium, we’ll be taking it to a whole ‘nother level with three business sessions presented by nine industry experts. The Symposium, July 20 from 1:30-6:30pm at the Chicago downtown campus of DePaul University is free for all registered derivatives professionals. Space is limited; advance registration is required. We’re very excited to have John Lothian, Executive Chair and co-founder of MarketsWiki kick-off the event with his Keynote speech entitled “Brexit & Other Extraordinary Popular Delusions.” If you are wondering how Brexit will affect your FCM and by extension, your business, you cannot afford to miss this.
Mark Shore, CEO of Shore Capital Management and Adjunct Professor at DePaul will moderator a panel which includes Tony Lombardi (AON), Jeff Malec (RCM, LLC) and Joel Hardy (Efficient Capital Management). We’ll learn what characteristics/ qualifications allocators look for before starting in on a business relationship.
The third business session, “Marketing Managed Accounts & Funds; Regulatory Traps & Considerations” will focus on regulatory concerns - “traps” which could trip up CTAs who market funds or managed account programs. This panel is chaired by Matt Kluchenek, Baker & McKenzie, and includes Shane O’Mara (NFA), Susan Osmanski (Turnkey Trading Partners) and Chris Metseff (Blue River Partners).
The afternoon is complimentary for derivatives professionals and includes a networking cocktail reception.
